hi guys...

i'm a FPGA newbie with a special interrest for implementing a tcp/ip
based communication system with an FPGA. I'm searching for people with
experience with this ethernet IP core and how much efford it takes to
implement it. I have a project running which basically is about
communicating with a peripheral device over the ethernet interface.
It would be nice if somebody could answer and give me some tips about
implementing this core and if there are more communication layers
available, e.g. tcp/ip. Another question would be, if there are opensource
developer platform with which you can develop using a highlevel
language, particularly C since i'm quite experienced in programming C
and not really familiar with VHDL or VERILOG. thanx a lot for your help
